The MSN recognition arrives during another period of success for Peoples as a recording artist. Her original composition “Run Away with Me” reached No. 1 on the N1M 1000 Bossa-Nova chart in the United States in September 2025 and continues to hold the top position as of November.
Written and produced by Peoples, “Run Away with Me” continues her longstanding exploration of jazz and Brazilian music as both a vocalist and flutist. The chart achievement follows earlier success with “Do You Remember?”, the first single from her debut jazz album All Jazzed Up!, which reached No. 1 on multiple independent music charts, including New Music Weekly, AC40, and the Indie 100.
Peoples entered 2025 already carrying another major creative honor. In 2024, she was named Composer of the Year at the Olympia Arts Awards for her score Vampire Odyssey, recognizing the compositional side of a career that has included film scoring, arranging, conducting, songwriting, and recording.
