Los Angeles, California Jan 15, 2022

For the 2022 LA Art Show, artist Tom Wright will be exhibiting three very earthy abstracts from his diverse catalogue. This exhibit commemorates Wright’s second year participating in the show. Wright, a “renaissance” artist in the sense of his broad scope of artistry, creates with a variety of mediums, ranging from acrylics, water colors, and even sandpaper and ink. This is evidenced by his industrial collections that are unusual yet stirring with vast muted color palettes. He doesn’t title his work and he doesn’t sign them in the front. This could be because “there’s a little bit of him in every painting.”

“If you look, you’ll see me in it. Every portrait I do has a little bit of me. There’s no thought. It’s just self-expression or peering out at the world.” –Agenda Magazine Interview, Painter Tom Wright and His Stabbings of the World

A West Hollywood resident and a professional golfer, Tom Wright earned his wide scope for aesthetics through his worldly experiences, which include working in the entertainment field. That’s why his collections flow and ebb so easily. His is a Ph.D. in Life and it echoes in his work.

“All this terminology about color schemes and palettes . . . this just comes out. Art for me is spontaneous combustion!”—Agenda Magazine Interview, Painter Tom Wright and His Stabbings of the World

The LA Art Show has established a reputation for leading the pack. As such, visitors can expect great art, international exhibitors, and even new trends such as NFT (digital art) and more.

Since 2015, LA Art Show has been a strong and unwavering supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® as it leads the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. In 2022, St. Jude returns as the beneficiary with the LA Art Show donating 15% of all ticket proceeds to its life-saving mission.
